Okay, so I got stay and work from home, which is always a plus, the downside is that I still got conferenced into meetings (can’t avoid them!).  Current design that I’m doing seems to, like usual, have had a snag and things were skipped. Whatever,  I’m done complaining bout that place in my nightly posts.

Yep, snow in February.  It’s nothing substaincial in terms of accumulation but if the weather freezes the snow on thats the ground it could mean me working from home tomorrow.

Sorta need a break from the office, seems that after doing an awesome design job on the Sierra pitch I’m the new goldenboi…so I get all the “cool design projects” but unfortunately I dont get the correct time needed to create others good designs.  These guy’s dont listen or learn.

Coming up on my 11th month at EdelmanDigital and the one thing I’ve
learned is that the phrase is true – you cant teach an old dog new tricks, and this holds true to the EdelmanDigital way of running things, things wont change because money is still being made.

I dont mind spending some of my time to do some designs that NEED to be done asap, but when it becomes a habbit I cant help but feel like being taken advantage of.

Just keep my ears and eyes open for new design opportunities that will pay me more, I know there isnt a perfect place, but maybe getting paid significantly more will soften the bullshit.

Oh yea, new episode of Jericho.  Its great to see the show back on and it
seems they’re switching from post-bomb to expose-the-responsible.  Overall great new season episode.

Go Obama!  Cause God knows a woman wont do much.

Wow, I havent been here in so long.  Thanks to my buddy KDogg, he pointed out my blog and the lack of updates.  I’m gonna have to remedy that ASAP.

[Super Nintendo] : [The Adventures of Dr. Franken] [1994]

While known to most as the evil Frankenstein, to his friends he’s just Franky. Wanting to take his girlfriend, Bitsy, on an adventuresome vacation, Franky books a flight to New York City. Unfortunately, she doesn’t have a passport.

Franky uses his brain (however small it may be) and devises a plan where he’ll dismantle Bitsy, ship her to New York, pick her up at the post office, and then reassemble her.

The combination of Frankys lack of brain cells and the incompetence of the Transylvanian post office has scattered Bitsy across the globe.

Day – Friday 25th. – Game Guessed
[Super Nintendo] : [The 7th Saga] [1993]

The 7th Saga is a role playing game for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, known as Elnard in Japan. The player chooses one of seven playable characters, all of whom separately embark on a quest to locate seven magical runes. As the player progresses through the game from one town to the next, they will encounter the other six characters on multiple occasions. The player may partner with one of the other playable characters to fight as a team, and they may also fight against other playable characters for the runes.

7th Saga is a traditional gameplay-based RPG in the vein of the original Dragon Quest games, rather than a story-based RPG such as the Final Fantasy series. The emphasis is on dungeon exploration and combat, rather than story or character development. There are almost no scripted sequences or cutscenes, and most of the story is conveyed through simple “sign post” conversations with townspeople. The American version of the game has been criticized for poor translation, but this does not play a noticeable role on gameplay.

Notable unique innovations include the use of a crystal ball “radar” that allows players to see enemies approaching their character in dungeons and in the overworld. This means that combat is not totally random, and gives players some ability to avoid enemies (although enemies move extremely quickly and thus combat can be difficult to avoid). The game also uses Mode 7 graphic effects to create the transition between exploration screen and battle screen.

The game is also known for its unforgiving difficulty, considered by many to be one of the most difficult RPGs ever created.

Ok so I figured, maybe people would be oldschool like me and would like a challenge in video game trivia.

So I’ll do this twice a week, starting today and I will keep a tallie of the scores. What do you win? braggin’ rights.

Let’s see how far this goes and if anyone does it, you have till the end of the Day – Thursday 24.

Today’s Screenshot Game

“To be truly challenging, a voyage, like a life, must rest on a firm foundation of financial unrest. Otherwise, you are doomed to a routine traverse, the kind known to yachtsmen who play with their boats at sea… cruising it is called. Voyaging belongs to seamen, and to the wanderers of the world who cannot, or will not, fit in. If you are contemplating a voyage and you have the means, abandon the venture until your fortunes change. Only then will you know what the sea is all about.

Once upon a time there was a Bear and a Bee
Who lived in a wood and were the best of friends.
All summer long the Bee collected nectar from morning to night
While the Bear lay on his back basking in the long grass.
When the winter came the Bear realized he had nothing to eat
And thought to himself:
“I hope that busy little Bee
Will share some of his honey with me”.
But the Bee was nowhere to be found
He had died of a stress induced coronary disease.

~Jean de La Fontaine

Once upon a time, there was a king who ruled a great and glorious nation. Favourite amongst his subjects was the court painter of whom he was very proud. Everybody agreed this wizzened old man painted the greatest pictures in the whole kingdom and the king would spend hours each day gazing at them in wonder.

However, one day a dirty and dishevelled stranger presented himself at the court claiming that in fact he was the greatest painter in the land. The indignant King decreed a competition would be held between the two artists, confident it would teach the vagabond an embarrassing lesson. Within a month they were both to produce a masterpiece that would out do the other.
