hey stuff

Well, after many persuation I decided to join my folks today for church. I haven’t gone with them for a very long time mostly because it was a pain to drive up and meet them so early in the morning.

Figured today was “excusable” if you can call it that. I learned two things in that sermon and 1 thing I will try to apply daily (or at least try).

You dont need a complex sermon with extravagant wording in order to reach people. The Word does just find by itself it is the focus of the sermon.

There are so many things to be thankful about that its a shame that I forget about them or not even think of them as things to be thankful about.

And the one thing I will try to do daily?

Say thanks for at least 1 one thing in my life that per day. Shouldn’t be tough thinking about them but it should prove difficult remembering to do it daily

Anyway, me and my better half decided to check out the beach after the gym.  While it as cold and windy and fucked up my hair, she had alot of fun and I took some pics of her and the beach with my iphone (yay iphone).  I’ll link them from my facebook account once I upload them.

This classic comes from my all time favorite group.

A Tribe Called Quest, the first CD I ever bought was Beats, Rhymes & Life.  I even remember I went to the Blockbuster with my cousin Mike to pick up some new CDs after we had gotten our Christmas cash.

Picked up that CD and Outkast: ATLiens.  The major reason I picked it up was because of the cover.  I instantly fell in love with ATCQ and I havent looked back since.  I even think their last CD was decent, much to the contradiction of others.

Well, this caught me by surprise in the today. I had heard reports of the video the album’s first single was reportely banned from MTV.

Now I’m thinking to myself “Wow these guys must have done something to piss off the status quoe, good for them!” So I managed to find the video in youtube, so I sat meself down and prepared myself for the mind bending experience that this video would expose me to. I mean it must be that great if MTV banned it (supposedly).

The “bad” stuff is around 2:15 on the video, I was dissappointed to a level that of Jumper.

Perhaps I should have read the article before thinking it might be something crazy just seems to be the fact that the black and white zigzag lines are whats causing the problems and MTV feels it might cause alot of the audiences to pull Bart & Lisa in Japan and follow similar suit.

I keep seeing Justin Timberlake in a lot of places he’s pretty funny in this video also on the trailer of the new Mike Myers movie. Good for him, I use to hate on him but he’s got a decent style for a white boy.

Honestly I think the Crazy music video was much better than this album’s video debut.

In any event I’m going to pick up the cd and hopefully it will be just as good as St. Elsewhere.

Today’s HipHop track comes The Pharcyde – Hey You.

Chill track with some solid lyrics, it’s a shame the most of the group went their seperate ways.

Second dose comes from Artifacts - The Ultimate.

Dope lyrics and a great bassline.

Artifacts are a now-defunct hip hop duo consisting of El Da Sensei and Tame One. They originated from Newark, New Jersey where they made underground music that paid homage to the four elements of hip hop.

If you don’t know who KidRobot is or his toys then clearly you are living under a rock.  Or you just arent into collectible figures.  Whichever.

Well, thats it for 27…:(.  I would have like to have stayed at that age.  I’m too close to 30 and I’m dreading it.

I might not even acknowledge that I’m 28 and keep saying I’m 27 till
I’m significantly grey-haired.  Shit, if girls do it all the time I dont see why I can’t at least for a couple of years.

Much greater design skill, alot more creativity-inspiration and maybe to finally tag up a couple of NYC walls.

Here’s to hoping I become the man that I’m supposed become and the Designer I want to be.

Wasnt really a fan of the way Ryu looks in this one, but overall it seems to really be a 2-d fighter with a 3-d elements like they claimed. I’m looking forward to it but not that excited about it. I love 2d fighters which is part of the reason why I’m having mixed feelings bout it.

Today’s HipHop track comes from that solid group People Under the Stairs.

Incredible episode.  As I sit here listening to PUTS (People Under the Stairs) – San Francisco Knights. There are so many things in that episode that I’m gonna have to watch twice.  What a great show and what a great season this is shaping up to be.

Here are some quick things me and my friend KWhite thought about.   Well the whole Ben Sayid Locke thing was a given, we knew they were gonna trade Miles (didnt guess Kate as well though) for Katherina.  So we knew that Sayid had a mission…and at the end of the episode its clear.  Kill all the members responsible for that search party to the island.  There is a list and apparently the (women only?) wear those bracelets with the initials N.G. .

This explains why the guy in the golf course was very nervous when Sayid said he was part of the oceanic 6.  I’m sure there was word that the people from the search party were being killed by some one.

Ben has a spy on their boat? We believe it could mean that Ben’s spy is Walt and Michael? They were sent via boat and were told they would find their way out.  I wouldnt put it past Ben to do something like this.

Space time thing.  If I understood correctly from the time the Payload was fired
from the freighter to the time it supposedly hit the mark the time that passed was
roughly 10-15 seconds.  But it took the Payload around 31 minutes to reach them.

Does this mean that for ever 10-15 sconds on the island, 31 minutes
pass in the outside world? I need to pay attention more to that part maybe I’ll add another post tomorrow and further explain.

Also anyone else catch the name of the search party’s boss?  He shares his last name
with a famous mathematician that did most of his research in regards to SpaceTime.
